The arch is envisioned as part of a bigger polytunnel construction. The structure consists of an array of cells containing morphed rebar geometry. The base cell has been designed as a repeatable module by the participants of the workshop. The rebars are fabricated through ABB IRB140 industrial robot and assembled with aid of augmented reality using Hololens.

The structure consists of 264 unique rebars and has been fabricated and assembled in three days.

Two grippers have been constructed: the end effector for the robot, and second, attached to the base. Through vertical movement and rotation, the rebar is placed in the correct position and orientation, then the robot bends the piece according to the design. The process is repeated for each fold in the rebar.
